Juneteenth: Guest Post by Tom Fritz

Today’s post is authored by long-time Cru staff member Tom Fritz. I appreciate his perspective and am grateful for his perseverance and his passion for evangelism. Tom and his wife Linda have been married since 1976 and have two sons. Tom is a Vietnam veteran and earned BBA at Temple University, served as Pastor of Live Oak Baptist Church, and received his D.D. from Carver College. Tom joined staff in 1973 and launched Cru’s ministry on Historically Black Colleges and Universities at the Atlanta University Center. He also founded the Impact Conference. Over the years he has directed Intercultural Resources, Ethnic Ministry Resources and founded the EMAF Steering Committee. For the past eight years he has served with City in Atlanta. He has a passion for evangelism and discipleship among Black leaders on campuses and in cities, and seeks a global impact.
