Flapjack Friday: On Coffee & Innovation

This past week I was gifted two yummy blends from Bozeman’s Treeline Coffee Roasters. This lovely surprise included The Innovator and Boss Lady bundled in honor of “ladies, women, and bosses.”

So, this week I chose the Innovator blend for my afternoon pour-overs, which produces tasting notes of Sherbet, Butterscotch and Raspberry-a yummy combination. I take time to enjoy the delightful aroma that floats to my nose as the hot water comes into contact with freshly ground beans. I wait while the water slowly seeps in and forms crackly crevices that send rich black coffee to my waiting cup. MmmmMMm, reminds me of a fresh pan of brownies right out of the oven.

I’m a common connoisseur to be sure, but I know a good cup of coffee when I taste one.
